Full Day Kindergarten
Grades 1- 5
School Day
8:20AM – 2:20PM
St. Paul’s takes understandable pride in our commitment to academic excellence built on a strong and nurturing Christian foundation. We provide an outstanding elementary program for all children, beginning with full day kindergarten and continuing through the fifth grade. Students attend weekly chapel with the pastor. St. Paul’s teachers believe that God has called them to the ministry of education, that each day is a gift from Him and an opportunity to reach out in His love to each of God’s precious children.
Our academic curriculum meets the New York State standards in all areas and all grade levels are further enriched with classes in Spanish, Computers, Art, Library, Music, and Physical Education. Cultural arts opportunities such as Native American culture, puppetry, circus day, and others are provided by the CEA (Christian Education Association, our parent association).
Our curriculum provides a solid learning base, strong in the teaching of basics and the 3R’s. Coupled with the religious curriculum, that strong academic base is further enhanced to nurture strong, compassionate citizens, setting a solid course as they enter the world of adolescence and adulthood.

Students enjoy a full classroom day of learning and growth. There are multiple Kindergarten classes, each with a NYS certified teacher and full time aide. Classes may share time together during school days in play and in working on projects and events. Each year during preparation for the Christmas season, the Kindergarten classes work together on a heartwarming production of the Nutcracker which is performed for family and friends.

St. Paul’s classroom and administrative staff are a daily part of the learning and growth of our elementary students. Students are taught the 3R’s in interesting and challenging ways. Their expanded learning classes such as Computers, Spanish, Library, Music, Art, and PE, are joined with daily lessons and tasks to foster understanding of combined learning methods and robust learning.
Comprehension and retention of knowledge is evidenced by the achievement of consistently high standardized test scores. Our students achieve some of the best scores and rank among some of the highest in the nation.

Students are involved in events like class plays or shows to assist them in performance, public speaking and working together for common goals. Social interaction and compassion for our worlds’ inhabitants is taught in many ways, especially by example. Mission Projects are regularly undertaken by the students and are an excellent learning experience for all involved, whether it is collecting funds to support those less fortunate or making bag lunches each week for homeless workers in the Huntington area.

St. Paul’s offers 2 special programs to assist Elementary families in child care on school days.
