Sunday School Begins on Sunday September 9, 2007 from 9:45 am- 11:15am You do not need to be a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church to come to Sunday School. Classes are open for Nursery Three year old children through the 5th Grade. Registration cards are in the Church office as well as the Sunday School office located in the Day School on Sunday mornings. Please join us to learn more about God and how Jesus loves us, especially the children. |

First Holy Communion Fifth graders who have faithfully attended Sunday School and completed five worship summaries are invited to attend 4 Saturday morning classes in preparation for 1st Communion. Pastor Lyn conducts the classes of one hour each so the children have a full understanding of the Sacrament of Holy Communion. On Maundy Thursday at the 8 p.m. service the children receive their 1st Holy Communion. Immediately after the service a reception sponsored by the Parish Ed committee is held to celebrate with the students, their families, and the congregation. |

CONFIRMATION To become a confirmed member of St. Paul's, there is a three year course of study for our youth in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Using the Bible and Luther's Catechism, the Pastor teaches the sacraments, the life of Jesus, the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer and the work of the church. Requirements include church attendance, worship summaries, service hours, and attending mini-retreats. At the Confirmation service in the spring the youth reaffirm their faith which was spoken for them by their parents at Baptism. |
